Huge thanks to our tireless and talented team of parents (FODJ) who organised this year's summer fair. Smiles of awe, wonder and curiosity were apparent on the faces of all of the children and adults who attended. Thanks also to the children who performed the science-songs with Mega Choir. Special thanks to Ernie for specially composing a song for us to sing about carbon footprints and the impact we all have upon the earth.
The Summer Fair page will soon be updated with more photos and videos. The children who finished 1st, 2nd and 3rd in this year's Battle of the Bands performed a gig at Downs Infant School on Friday.
Thank you and congratulations to the children involved.
To see and hear their performances, visit the Battle of the Bands 2019 page. Mega Choir will be performing at 14:30 for the Science-Themed School Summer Fair. To rehearse the songs one last time, visit the Mega Choir page.
Miss Rusbatch is a member of the band SAMBAOKE - mass audience karaoke with a live samba band. They were asked to perform at the Summer by the River Festival last weekend. The fabulous venue was called The Scoop - a huge amphitheatre beside Tower Bridge. Thousands of energetic Londoners and tourists joined the band for a mass singalong to a variety of 'karaoke classics' - the atmosphere was incredible! For more information, visit www.sambaoke.com Today, Miss Rusbatch was lucky enough to witness a couple of guitar/voice performances by musical Mae-Ling. Here's her brilliant performance of Space Odyssey by David Bowie. Miss Rusbatch said that Mae-Ling is better than her at remembering song lyrics! Today, we attempted to create a live lyric video for our school song about CNVP (fundamentals of sentence structure). We're hoping the song will be a useful resource in literacy lessons for the younger children in our community, and beyond! Friday 21st June
