Below is, Sarah Leeves, brass teacher from BHMA, improvising a melody on the pBuzz.
Designed by a team of British musicians the pBuzz is a completely new musical instrument. The brightly coloured, light and smooth curved edged product has been designed specifically for young musicians’ little hands. Simple and easy to play, the mouthpiece makes it the perfect introduction to brass playing for primary school learners.
BUZZ: |
Position the mouthpiece in the middle of your lips, create a hole in your lips and blow air through it. Slowly make the hole smaller as you blow to create a buzz.
|
SLIDE: |
The moveable slide has six notes or slide positions: 1 - 6 or F, G, A, B, Bb, C
|
MAKING A NOTE: |
Slide the bell towards you to create a high note and away from you to create a low note.
