This is the official fan video compilation for the song This Is Me from the film, The Greatest Showman. If you skip to 2 minutes 16 seconds, you'll see Downs Junior School in action! The children received a treat today - BIMM Academy came to perform, and invited children on stage to form bands and experience playing bass, guitar, drums and sing using the microphone. The assemblies were a huge success and the children impressed the BIMM tutors with their talent and confidence and ability to learn quickly.

This term, orchestra are exploring composition and improvisation. Here's the first stage of our own exploration of the chorus from the song This Is Me from the film The Greatest Showman: The chord pattern is currently D, Bm, G, A into Em then C. Orchestra - please continue exploring your own ideas over the half term holiday. During our Soundmakers session with Sarah, we were learning about improvisation (using our voices and our instruments). When Miss Rusbatch noticed that William had disappeared (he had Sarah's permission to go to the toilet) we decided to improvise a song about it!!! With William's permission and insistence, we have uploaded and shared the song for you all to hear! |
