The auditions for Battle of the Bands 2017 are in full swing. Congratulations to the 12 bands who auditioned yesterday (Monday) and good luck to the remaining 47 bands, yet to audition.

Results will be revealed on Monday 6th March.

A Night on Bare Mountain

Today, orchestra came together to start learning A Night On Bare Mountain, by Mussorgsky. Following a one hour rehearsal, they're sounding pretty good! But we have a long way to go.

​Well done everyone. Keep rehearsing at home, and I look forward to hearing improvements next week.

Entry to this year's Battle of the Bands is now CLOSED.

Auditions will take place next week. To find out when your band's audition slot is, download the audition list below, or visit the Battle of the Bands 2017 page.

The top 12 finalists will be announced on Monday 6th March 2017.

NEWS:

Miss Rusbatch was given Special Recognition at the national Music Teacher Awards for Excellence in Primary Music.

​The award ceremony took place in Mayfair, London on Thursday evening. We should all be extremely proud of this recognition.

​Thanks to each and every person involved in the Downs Junior School musical journey.
