We were treated to a visit from Roman Kemp and Vick Hope today. They came in to talk to the children about their lives as radio presenters (Capital FM) and also to promote their new book, 'Listen Up'. Here's a link to some video interviews with Roman and Vick about their book: https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=4KuoQbaxouk&list=PL86ZQcsO5rnF0hHJS-8j2CuK_qecBhlcT LISTEN UP by Roman Kemp and Vick Hope
Arthur and Grace are the coolest kids in school. They're also the radio kids, hosting the school's top two radio shows, so of course they're biggest RIVALS in school too. When a school trophy goes missing, can Arthur and Grace put aside their differences in time to catch the thief? Want some musical inspiration for Halloween during the half term holiday?
Visit the Halloween web page for some music ideas and spooky karaoke singalongs! CONGRATUUUUUUUUUUUUUULATIONS to the 6S team for their spooktacular assemblies today. Year 6 SUPER CHOIR - please ensure you have learned all of the lyrics for: THE FIRST NOEL and SUSSEX CAROL.

This morning, Mega Choir performed a song called In the Bin to highlight the enormous amount of food that is wasted every year. Tomorrow, each of the Year 5 music classes will be rehearsing and performing a variety of songs about the strong and important connection between music and wellbeing. Recordings of these performances will be uploaded to the BBC Music Day team, and may be broadcast and/or added to the BBC Music Day website. Keep your eyes peeled! Blue Peter have launched a new Music Badge - read more about it on BBC News Round.
In today's music assemblies we will be learning Swahili and singing the wonderful song called Jambo Bwana (by Them Mushrooms) in a simple two-part harmony.
We are grateful to Britain's Got Talent finalists, Richard and Adam, for inviting us to join them on stage at the Brighton Open Air Theatre for their national tour: The Greatest Songmen.
