The sign-up deadline for music clubs has now passed.
Music club sign-up will re-open in January 2020. Thank you to the families who have signed-up for Mega Choir, Music Jam and Super Choir. Rehearsals are now in full flow. Concert dates and venues will be released soon and shared via this website and the school newsletter. Keep your eyes peeled for updates. Tomorrow (Thursday 26th September) is BBC Music Day.
This morning, Mega Choir performed a song called In the Bin to highlight the enormous amount of food that is wasted every year. Tomorrow, each of the Year 5 music classes will be rehearsing and performing a variety of songs about the strong and important connection between music and wellbeing. Recordings of these performances will be uploaded to the BBC Music Day team, and may be broadcast and/or added to the BBC Music Day website. Keep your eyes peeled! In today's music assemblies we will be learning Swahili and singing the wonderful song called Jambo Bwana (by Them Mushrooms) in a simple two-part harmony.
We are grateful to Britain's Got Talent finalists, Richard and Adam, for inviting us to join them on stage at the Brighton Open Air Theatre for their national tour: The Greatest Songmen. Our specially formed Year 6 Performance Choir performed confidently and professionally and Richard and Adam were really impressed with the quality of their voices and harmonies. Well done kids! Year 6 children have been offered the exciting opportunity to perform at the Brighton Open Air Theatre (BOAT) alongside Britain's Got Talent Finalists - Welsh Brothers - Richard and Adam. They are touring their show: The Greatest Songmen. The show at BOAT is on Thursday 19th September.
