2016 marks the FIFTIETH Brighton Festival and we (the children of Brighton and Hove) are opening the festival in style on Saturday 7th May. Downs Junior School's theme this year is a little unconventional and ironic - we're going to be traffic wardens! So keep your wits about you, and make sure you're not standing or parking where you shouldn't, or you'll receive a warning or a fine from our lot!

Rehearse our chant/song,
leaving 8 beats of silence between each verse:
Excuse me Madam, don’t park on that line
Move away, you’re committing a crime
If you don’t move you’ll receive a fine
Don’t scowl at me, can’t you see that sign?
Move away, you’re committing a crime
If you don’t move you’ll receive a fine
Don’t scowl at me, can’t you see that sign?
(swap Madam for Sir, Child, Baby or Doggy – depending on who you are talking to in the crowd)
