Thank you very much to the 33 bands that auditioned last week. Most of the bands that didn't make it through to Thursday's final required more rehearsal. Some of the original songs that had been written by the children have great potential and lovely lyrics. The key to a good performance at audition is practise and lots of it.

The Battle of the Bands is a music industry enterprise competition. The prize for the winning band includes a performance at Downs Infant School and the writing and recording of an original song.
Rehearsal slots will be available throughout the spring term with auditions taking place 6-8 March 2013. Only the top 12 bands will be chosen to battle it out in the final the following week. The judges will be music industry professionals. Below you can download the entry form and extra information and rules. This does not need to be completed and handed in until February 2013 at the earliest.
